“Chaos is defined not so much by its disorder as by the infinite speed with which every form taking shape in it vanishes. It is a void that is not nothingness but a virtual, containing all possible particles and drawing out all possible form, which sprang up only to disappear immediately, without consistency or reference, without consequences. Chaos is an infinite speed of birth and disappearance.” (Deleuze 1994:118)
Random Reflections:
It all begins with Silence.
Silence is a field of potentiality that embraces all ‘musical’ outcomes.
Initiating a sound or sound sequence creates a ‘probability wave’ where the sound sequence is experienced in relationship to silence and, to the other sounds occurring in direct relationship to the primary sound articulation. Perhaps an example of a “Coherent Super-position?”
The coherent super-position includes the way in which we experience the sounds, both as performer and audience, and, the way we think or observe the experience
